Good Morning,  As you all know, the GAL conference is rapidly
approaching.  It is scheduled for June 4th and 5th at the Ramkota in
Casper.  We have a good conference planned and will be getting the
brochure mailed to you by Friday of this week.  We have a block of rooms
reserved at the Ramkota.  When I called the hotel this morning, to
reserve my room, they let me know that May 21st is the cut off date for
making a reservation under that block of rooms.  I wanted to give you a
heads up.  The hotel's number is 1-307-266-6000.   Hope to see you
there.

My mistake - the Conference is scheduled to start at 9:00am on the 4th and conclude at noon on the 6th.  I had previously indicated it was the 4th and 5th - it goes ? day on the 6th.  Holly

There appears to be confusion about what is meant by "Judges Day" at our
GAL/CJP Conference scheduled for June 4.

 

"Judges Day" means only that this is the afternoon we hope our district
judges may join all of us.  Sessions scheduled on Monday afternoon from
1-5:30 are designed for everyone, but may also be of interest to our
judges.

1-1:30               Welcome by Chief Justice Voigt

1:30-2:45           Children in the Courtroom

3-4                                       GAL Ombudsperson

4:15-5:30           JAC/GAL forum

 

Hope to see all of you in Casper ON MONDAY!

 Attached is a "Save-the-Date" announcement for the Wind River Native
American Conference scheduled in Lander August 7-9, 2007.  Although all

RE:  State Bar Meeting Sessions

 

Although our primary focus remains on our Annual CJP/GAL Conference next
month, we are looking forward toward the two CJP/GAL sessions to be
presented at the Annual State Bar Convention in Jackson.  Both of our
sessions will present Wednesday afternoon, September 12th.  One of those
sessions will deal with what types of treatment services are available
statewide, including age and gender specific services - what is best
practice in the field of family services - discussion of case management
services to support clients -- provider locations and contact
information - how to access information on the web concerning providers
and treatment types -- an overview of the DFS, mental health and
substance abuse system statewide.  

 

Do any of you have any specific questions regarding treatment ,,,
providers ... availability, etc. that I might pass on to our presenter
ahead of time so that he may research and have ready answers?
