From DPlayton at uwyo.edu Wed Jul 25 14:48:53 2007 From: DPlayton at uwyo.edu (Dona Playton) Date: Wed, 25 Jul 2007 13:48:53 -0600 Subject: [WyoFamilyLaw] New minimum wage figure for child support Message-ID: The federal minimum wage went up to 5.85 per hour yesterday. Therefore, if you have to impute a parent's wage at minimum wage, full time for child support figures, it is my understanding that Child Support Services is going to use the following figures: NCP 905.35 net monthly CP 936.43 net monthly Also, our statute regarding Notices to Payors was modified to allow NTPs to be sent by first class mail or certified mail or personal service. However, 20-6-218(d) states that penalties provided under the statute shall not be imposed unless service of the NTP was completed by certified, return receipt requested to, or personal service upon, the employer. Also, I tried to update somewhat the NTP in the pro se packets which are available on the Wyoming Supreme Court's website. If you have any suggestions for future changes to any of the pro se forms, feel free to direct them to me for now. An updated Order to Show Cause packet should be out shortly.
