Good afternoon!

I am pleased to inform you that yesterday the Governor signed HB 2668.  The new criminal code will take effect July 1, 2011.

Thanks to all of you for your time and effort in this important project, especially to our legislators who provided much guidance to our effort as well as moving the bill to the Governor's desk.

I hope all of you are having a great day!!

All,

I would also like to express my gratitude to our legislative members for their work and support during the legislative session.  I would also like to thank Jill Wolters, who devoted long hours to carefully crafting the bill.  Finally, I would like to give a special thanks to Judge White and Ed Klumpp, who have been key to the success of the entire project.  Judge White worked very hard in providing the Revisor and the Legislature with all of the necessary information in exactly the right form and in providing testimony.  Ed very closely monitored the progress of the legislation, attended all hearings, and was instrumental in identifying and quickly resolving potential impediments.
