Dear HeinOnline subscribers,

The latest release of new content in HeinOnline (<http://heinonline.org>) can be found below, and adds nearly 163,000 pages to the complete HeinOnline collection.

At this time, we would also like to inform you of an exciting decision that has been made to add a “Trials Library” to HeinOnline. While still in the development phase, initial plans for this new module will include such important collections as John D. Lawson’s 17-volume set, “American State Trials”, along with some of the most famous trials in American history, such as Leopold & Loeb (1924), Scopes “Monkey” Trial (1925), and Amistad Trials (1839-40) to name just a few, and famous world trials such as the Trial of Thomas More, the Trial of Martin Luther, the Trial of Joan of Arc and the Nuremberg trials. In addition, hundreds of historical monographs related to trials will be added, and we hope to be able to provide links to law review articles found in HeinOnline to enhance your research on a particular trial.

We estimate that this new collection in HeinOnline will contain documents related to approximately 3,000 trials. In addition, we also hope that your library’s own special trials collections may be something you will consider allowing us to include, whether for the entire HeinOnline community to access, or something we help you make available within the walls of your library or university population through Hein’s Digital Services for Libraries.

If you are interested in learning more about how we can offer our assistance in helping you digitize your own special collections, please contact Scott Fiddler at s_fiddler@wshein.com <mailto:s_fiddler@wshein.com>.

Finally, with the release of the new content listed below, the “Most-Cited Journals” collection within the entire HeinOnline Law Journal Library has been upgraded with new OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software; an investment we will continue to make throughout ALL of the current and new library modules that are added to HeinOnline (you may recall that in a previous content release announcement we made you aware of the upgrade to both the U.S. Federal Register Library and the Legal Classics Library). This new OCR software will enhance your search results in these collections.

Thank you for your continued support of HeinOnline!

Sincerely,
