VIETNAM:

Drug ring members given death penalty


3 out of 8 criminals in a drug ring in Ha Noi were sentenced to death for
illegal drug trafficking. 2 others received life sentences and 3 will
serve 14 months in prison.

This is a serious drug trafficking case with members of the ring involved
in trading tens of bars of heroin and nearly 30g of phenorbital.

3 criminals who got the dealth penalty, Tran Thi Yen, 37, Nguyen Mai Hoa,
41 and Le Minh Nguyet, 41 were in the past 10 months involved in trading
nearly 8,000g of heroin.
